Alecia

Hi, I'm Alecia, founder of Lake Country Birth, midwife, birth doula, educator, and passionate advocate for physiologic birth and family-centered care.

My journey into birth work began with a deep desire to walk alongside women during one of life's most transformative seasons. Over the years, I've had the privilege of supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum while continually expanding my education to provide the highest level of compassionate, evidence-informed care.

I recently completed my midwifery training in Hawaiʻi, where I had the incredible opportunity to train alongside experienced home birth midwives while caring for families in diverse birth settings. After completing my midwifery student journey, my husband and I felt called to return home to Oconomowoc, where we're bringing a dream years in the making to life.

Together, we're building our Luxury Birth Suite on our beautiful family farm—a space intentionally designed to provide peaceful, personalized, relationship-based care. Our vision is to create a sustainable practice that allows us to offer exceptional midwifery care while giving families a warm, home-like place to welcome their babies with dignity, autonomy, and support.

I hold a Bachelor of Science, am a Certified Birth Doula, Certified Holistic Nutritionist, Certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist, Certified Phlebotomist, IV Therapy Certified, Herbal Birth Certified, RYT-200 Registered Yoga Teacher, and maintain certifications in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR). I also provide maternal lab services and continue pursuing advanced education to ensure families receive comprehensive, evidence-based care.

I believe birth is a normal, powerful process that deserves individualized support, informed choice, and genuine connection. Whether you're planning a hospital birth, home birth, birth center birth, or looking for postpartum support, my goal is to help you feel informed, confident, and deeply cared for every step of the way. Although I primarily provide support at our Birth Suite, our wonderful team is here to support you wherever you feel called to birth.

I'm honored to serve the community I grew up in and can't wait to welcome families into the next chapter of Lake Country Birth.
